- Handwritten letter, 20 cm, signed by fifteen citizens of Boyle County, Kentucky, requesting the release of 18 year-old William Baughman who is a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas. Letter is dated 'Danville, Ky., January 17, 1865.' Attached to the petition is a letter written by Baughman to his uncle, Samuel Ball, headed 'Camp Douglas, January 10, 1865' and signed 'William Baughman, Co A 6 Ky Cavalry Reg.' Letter signed (LS).
