Description:: Letter, 25 cm, signed by six members of Congress from Kentucky (Aaron Harding, Henry Grider, George Dunlap, John Menzies, Robert Mallory, James Jackson), recommending Jeremiah T. Boyle as one of the district judges in the state of Kentucky. On the envelope Lincoln has recommended Boyle and asked the attorney general to 'please preserve this' and signed with his initials and dated Aug. 7, 1861.
