Description

This broadside, printed in a question and answer format, promotes the abolition of slavery through peaceful means. The Biblical references to masters and slaves are discussed as well as whether slavery is in accordance with the spirit and language of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. The typed signature of the author Asa Donaldson is at the end as well as the place and date, "Dover, (Ill.) Oct. 5, 1845."
