Description
This commemorative celluloid pinback button features a right-profile portrait of President Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken of him on February 9, 1864, in Washington, D. C. He is shown wearing a black coat, vest, and bow tie against a cream-colored background. On the reverse a paper insert has within a shield-shaped outline the text "Made in St. Louis/ St. Louis Button Co." with a union logo beneath.
