Description
This is a leaf (pages 251-252) from the April 22, 1865, issue of the illustrated newspaper Harper's Weekly featuring five sketches of scenes from various places in the state of Virginia beginning with the "Capture of Petersburg, Virginia, at the top by Andrew McCallum. The middle two sketches, by A.W. Warren are titled "View of Castle Thunder, in Richmond" and "View of Libey Prison, Richmond." The bottom sketch is titled "Ruins on Main Street, Richmond", also by A.W. Warren. The reverse, or page 251, is all text divided into four columns which include the end of a story followed by a poem titled "The Omens," and then "Humors of the Day."
