This 24mm white metal 1860 presidential campaign medal features a left profile portrait of Stephen A. Douglas, Democratic party presidential candidate with the words "Stephen A. Douglas" above and the date1860 below. "Popular Sovereignty" follows the edge of the reverse with "National Union" and the engraver's information in the center.
