Description

Shield-shaped bookmark features President Abraham Lincoln in center surrounded by blue print that reads "'The First American' Born February 12th, 1809". The upper part of the bookmark features a field of thirteen five-point white stars on a dark blue ground. White print is seen in dark blue field and reads "Bookmark". The rest of the book mark features vertical red and white stripes. Along the lower edge to the viewer's right blue print reads "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J.". The back features blue print on a white ground that reads "Indiana League of Republican Clubs State Convention Fort Wayne February 10-11 1899".
