Description

This 1860 campaign button features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken of him by Roderick Cole in Peoria, Illinois, probably in 1858. Lincoln wore a black suit coat and bow tie with a white shirt and is clean shaven. The round gold frame is embossed with "The Union of the States, 1860" and leaves. A hole is pierced through the top.
