Description

This souvenir card consists of a dried oak leaf pasted to the right side of a folded piece of stationery embossed with "H. W. Fay, Custodian Lincoln's Tomb, Springfield, Illinois" in three lines at the top right above the leaf. Just below and to the right of the leaf handwritten in black ink is "oak leaf from tree at Lincoln Tomb." A two-inch fragment of wood is pasted on the left side near the left edge of the paper. An inscription handwritten in black ink to the right of the wood fragment reads "To Jackson Cochrone, at Lincoln's Tomb, Nov. 11 1929, accompanying a piece of wood from Lincoln Springfield home H.W.
