Description

This commemorative celluloid pinback button features a right-profile portrait of a beardless Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken of him on June 3, 1860, in Springfield, Illinois. The portrait is against a white background with a black border at the edge of the button. "100th Anniversary" is printed on the border above the portrait and "Feb. 12, 1909" is printed on the border below the portrait. Printed on a paper insert on the reverse is "Manufactured by St. Louis Button Co., St. Louis, Mo. Pat. Aug. 8 '90."
