Description
Round Abraham Lincoln outdoor thermometer features a white face printed with an ovular portrait of Lincoln in gray tones. A Fahrenheit scale with hash marks for -40 degrees through 120 degrees is printed above the portrait. A long, slim brass needle with a crescent on one end is screwed into the face. "The Lincoln National Life Insurance Co., Fort Wayne, Ind. R.S. Babcock, General Agent, 6th Floor Pacific National Bank Building, 333 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California" is printed below the portrait. The face is framed in metal and covered in a piece of convex glass. A ring of holes is punched out on the metal backing. A hanging ring is bolted to the back.
