Description
This engraving features some text from the "Joint Resolution of the Thirty Eighth Congress of the United States of America, Proposing an Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, Abolishing Slavery..." as well as the signatures of those who voted for the resolution from both houses of Congress. An illustration of slaves is between the main title and the four columns of signatures. A decorative border on a gray field surrounds the text and signatures.
