This print is a playbill for the Tuesday, April 12th, 1864, performance of "Uncle Tom's Cabin: Or, Life Among the Lowly" at Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut. After assuring the patrons that "every care will be taken in the production of this thrillingly truthful representation of Southern Life," the playbill then lists the cast of the play and the musical pieces before featuring a "Synopsis of Scenery and Incidents" for each of the six acts of the play.
