Description
Ruby crystal wine glass features dotted trim around the rim, a vine and leaf motif around the upper side of the cup, and indented scallops and cut diamonds around the base of the cup. Near the rim, an eagle stands on a crest with an olive branch and arrows clutched in its talons; this motif is rendered in low relief. The cup is attached to a clear cut glass pedestal base with cut starbursts encircling the round foot. Washington, D.C. According to an acquisition sheet from The Lincoln Museum, this wine glass was used as part of the White House State Dinner service during Lincoln's term.
