Description
This 1860 campaign button features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken of him by Roderick Cole in Peoria, Illinois, probably in 1858. Lincoln wore a black suit coat and bow tie with a white shirt and is clean shaven. The tarnished metal frame is embossed with flowers and leaves. A hole is pierced through the top. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum.
