Description

White demi-tasse cup features gold trim around the rim and foot and a gold loop handle. The cup fans out at the hip and tapers toward a round foot. The bottom of the foot displays the white ware backmark GDA Limoges surrounded by a tan colored wreath. Stamped in green ink over the white ware mark is the decorator mark GDA in script with the word France below separated by a horizontal line. Dulin & Martin Co., Washington, DC is also stamped in tan ink below the wreath. Washington D.C. This demi-tasse cup is part of a set of dinnerware used by Robert Todd Lincoln probably during his term as president of the Pullman Palace Car Company from 1901-1911.
