Description

This 34 mm political medal features left profiles in relief of President Abraham Lincoln and Vice President Hannibal Hamlin in the center surrounded by an open willow wreath. The reverse features an open laurel wreath with the words "Free Soil, Free Speech, Free Labor and Eternal Progression" centered within. This medal was not used in the 1860 presidential campaign since Lincoln is shown with a beard which he did not grow until after the November 1860 election.
