Description
Piece of gray silk fabric woven with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln in three-quarter profile, rendered in shades of gray. Leafy branches frame the portrait. Below Lincoln is an eagle with its wings spread and a shield with stars and stripes at its chest. A banner in its beak reads, "E Pluribus Unum." The words "De'pose' 1865," "Paul Durand Fab. Lyon.," and "Tisse' par Guillet" are all stitched under the picture of Lincoln in black lettering. The fabric is matted behind a piece of white board with gold and black trim at the window opening.
