Description
This 38.1 mm seated Liberty one dollar coin features Liberty sitting on a rock while holding in her right hand a shield with the word "Liberty" on it and in her left hand a pole with a liberty cap on the top on the obverse. The reverse features a patriotic eagle in the center surrounded with the words "United States of America" following the edge. "Half Dol." is below the eagle. The edge is reeded. This is one of sixteen different coins that were minted and placed into circulation during the administration of President Abraham Lincoln.
