Description
Sheer white paper commemorative ribbon is embossed with images and stamped with black text. A raised gold bust of President Zachary Taylor in profile adorns the center and is surrounded by an ornate gold oval with scrollwork and leaves. An embossed gold eagle is perched atop a stamped red and blue American flag above the ovular frame. "President Zachary Taylor. Born in 1784, Died July 9th 1850." is stamped directly below the bust. Three floral motifs are stamped in black--one at the top of the ribbon, one directly below the ovular frame, and one at the bottom of the ribbon. "The last coherent words of the venerable patriot, President Zachary Taylor:---"I die---I am expecting the summons---I am ready to meet death---I have endeavoured faithfully to discharge my duty---I am sorry to leave my friends!" is stamped in black at the bottom.
