Description
Paper thin slice of wood with a scroll design and label text stamped in black ink on one side. The label text reads, "1815 This card was made from a hand-hewn timber removed from roof of the White House after one hundred twelve years of historical service 1927 Lark Woodwork Co. Inc." Stamped in black ink on reverse is "Lincolns Birthday. February 12 1937. W. T. Clark Muskogee Oklahoma." Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
