Description

This round bronze plaque features a bas relief bust of President Abraham Lincoln in the center. A slightly raised border surrounding the bust emphasizes the quotation "With Malice Toward None, With Charity for All" in raised lettering on a pebbled background. President Lincoln is shown turned slightly toward the viewer's right wearing a coat and bow tie with a collared shirt. His birth year, 1809, can be faintly seen to the viewer's left and the year of his death, 1865, can be seen to the viewer's right of the bust. The reverse has the maker's name and place in raised lettering as well as two threaded posts for mounting. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
