Description
Dark red wallpaper fragment features a pink flower and leaf pattern. The wallpaper swatch is adhered to a piece of yellow paper that reads "From F.S. to I.D.P." at the top in black script. A piece of white paper is adhered below the swatch and reads: "A piece of the wallpaper from the box in which Mr. Lincoln sat on the night of his assassination. Taken there by Dr. Homiston on the day after the event; and given to me by him. I.D. Philips; Aug/8/68; Brooklyn, N.Y."
