Description

This 19mm white metal 1860 presidential campaign medal with a raised reeded rim features a head and shoulders bust of Stephen A. Douglas, the Northern Democratic Party candidate on the obverse. The reverse features the letters M. Y. O. B. in the center with one five-pointed star above and one star below. "Intervention is Disunion" appears in a border surrounding the letters which also includes the date 1860 at the bottom.
