Description

This copper 1819 Liberty Head penny features on the obverse a depiction of a more matronly Lady Liberty in the center which is surrounded by thirteen stars representing the 13 original colonies of the United States. The reverse features the words "One Cent" in the center surrounded by a wreath. The words “United States of America” are inscribed following the outer edge of the coin.
