Description

This 18 mm $2.50 Liberty Head coin features Liberty's head surrounded by thirteen stars on the obverse. The mint date is below. The reverse features the patriotic eagle in the center surrounded with the words "United States of America" following the edge above. "2 1/2 D." is below the eagle. This is one of sixteen different coins that were minted and placed into circulation during the administration of President Abraham Lincoln.
