Description

This poster printed in gold-colored ink on a black background features a colorized engraving of the family of President Abraham Lincoln originally done by William Sartain from a painting by Samuel B. Waugh in 1866. The engraving is printed on a separate sheet and pasted at the top into the printed rectangular frame with the title "The Lincoln Family in 1865" below the frame edge. The company name and addresses are printed below the frame. The twelve calendar pages for the year 1952 are stapled below the company information. The company motto is printed below the calendar pages. A gold-colored border outlines the edges of the poster. A thin black rope is threaded through two holes centered just below the top edge border and tied for hanging. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
