Description

This painting depicts Abraham Lincoln as a youth walking next to four oxen on his family's farm in southern Indiana. Young Abe is holding a walking stick. His father, Thomas Lincoln, is behind the oxen guiding a wooden plow. The trees in the background are showing fall colors.
