Description
This appears to be a photographic print of an Abraham Lincoln re-enactor reading by firelight in a cabin in New Salem State Historic Park near Petersburg, Illinois. He is seated on the floor next to the fireplace holding an open book. Handwritten in pencil on the mat just below the photograph is the title "Lincoln at New Salem" with the photographer's signature to the viewer's right. Handwritten on the reverse side of the mat is: Process - Chlorobromide print from paper negative, No. 4. Same photograph as item number 71.2009.081.2545.
