Description
This colored lithograph was included with the February 12, 1906, issue of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. The title is at the top of the print inside the green rectangular border and printed on a metallic bronze-colored background. Below the title is an illustration of a bronze medallion featuring the right profile of President Abraham Lincoln. Printed in an arc on each side of the portrait are President Lincoln's birth and assassination dates to the viewer's left and his name to the viewer's right. A green oak leaf border surrounds the medallion. Centered below the medallion is a banner with the text, "Compliments of the Brroklyn Daily Eagle, February 12th, 1906." In each lower corner is an illustration of a patriotic eagle standing with one foot covering arrows and with the other foot on a ball with olive branches behind it. The publisher's information is just above the lower edge of the border. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
