Description

This color print features President Abraham Lincoln standing with his head slightly bowed as he stands behind a stained glass window. Only the shadow outline of Lincoln can be seen. The stained glass features various scenes of events that took place during Lincoln's presidency, including the Civil War in the upper left and right quadrants, as well as the freeing of slaves in the bottom right quadrant. The bottom left quadrant shows Lincoln sitting in a chair as he talks to a man in front of him, though the man's identity is unknown to the viewer. "With malice toward none with charity for all with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right" is printed at the top of the glass in the center, with two crossing American flags below it. The entire window is inside a stone frame, with an American flag standing on the left, and another flag standing on the right, and two railings on either side in front of the flags.
