Description

This color poster with a light green background was the wall calendar for the year 1941 for the Lincoln National Life Insurance Company of Fort Wayne, Indiana. A reproduction of the original painting of President Abraham Lincoln by English artist T. Hamilton Crawford in a decorative, gold-colored oval frame is featured on the top half of the poster. A yellow banner with the company name is below the portrait. Beneath the banner is the 12-month calendar for the year 1941. The 13 monthly calendar pages for the year beginning with December 1940 are stapled on top of the full year calendar. Below the calendar is a smaller yellow banner with the name of the general agents in Racine, Wisconsin. A narrow black plastic guard is attached to the top and bottom edges. A tab with a hole for hanging is pasted to the top center reverse. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
