Description
This poster features a photograph of the progress on the sculpting of the presidential faces on Mount Rushmore in South Dakota which were designed by scultpor Gutzon Borglum. The caption below the photograph reads, "Rapid City, S.D.--A view of the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial. Carved in the stone face of the mountain are the faces of Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln (left to right). A banner in the top center of the decorative rectangular border includes the name of the company producing the poster, Illustrated Current News. The date of publication and the catalog number for this poster are printed just above the top right corner of the border.
