Description
The porcelain figurine is of a younger Abraham Lincoln standing relatively straight. His hair is parted on his left, rather than the right that is usually depicted. He is beardless, wearing a long sleeved ruffled shirt, tie, trousers, and shoes. His pants are held up with suspenders, but the Lincoln's left suspender hangs loosely over his hip rather than on his shoulder. Lincoln's right hand is balled into a fist while his left hand holds a book. The figurine stands on a circular base that is inscribed with, "Norman Rockwell." The entire piece is white. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
