Description
This lithograph features a bearded Abraham Lincoln on horseback in front of his Springfield, Illinois, home. Lincoln wears a black coat, vest, pants, and shoes with a white collared shirt and black bow tie. Lincoln holds his black top hat in his right hand and the reigns of his horse with the left. A crowd of people surround Lincoln as they celebrate a successful presidential campaign. Publication information appears immediately below the print. "MR. LINCOLN. RESIDENCE AND HORSE," is printed in large letters in the bottom margin, and "In Springfield, Illinois, as they appeared on his return at the close of the Campaign with Senator Douglas." is printed on the second line.
