Description
This poster-sized photographic print features a half-length portrait of President Abraham Lincoln enlarged from a photograph taken of him on February 9, 1864, in Washington, D. C. Facing slightly toward the viewer's right, Lincoln is wearing a dark jacket, vest, and pants, along with a white collared shirt and black bow tie. The chain of a pocket watch is looped through the second buttonhole of the vest while the rest of the chain and the watch itself are tucked behind the left side of Lincoln's jacket. His left forearm is tilted on its side while resting on the arm of the chair while his left hand is slightly open. His right arm rests flat on the arm of the chair with his hand hanging down toward his leg. ID number 71.2009.081.1510 is a duplicate print.
