Description

This print is a reproduction of a painting by artist Fletcher Ransom which was used on the Chicago and Illinois Midland Railway calendar for the year 1933. The artist depicted Abraham Lincoln as store clerk and postmaster in New Salem, Illinois, leaning over the store counter speaking with Anne Rutledge, daughter of the tavern owner where Lincoln boarded.
