Description
This hand-colored lithograph is a head and shoulders portrait of Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken on November 8, 1863. Lincoln is depicted facing slightly to the viewer's left and wearing a black suit coat and bow tie. Sometime later the background of the print was painted black as well as painting over the suit coat and adding a masonic symbol to the front plaque of Lincoln's shirt between the two visible buttons.
