Description
This lithograph features a three-quarter-length portrait ofPresident Abraham Lincoln seated in a chair and holding an open book in his right hand. He is depicted turned toward the viewer's left with his left hand gripping the armrest. The lithographer added a wedding ring to Lincoln's left hand although he never actually wore one. A line of text beneath the lower right corner of the image reads "The Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences."
