Description

This likeness of Lincoln is painted on glass. He is depicted with his body turned toward the viewer's left but gazes to the viewer's right. He has blue eyes, brown hair swept to the side, and a brown beard. He wears a black suit with black vest and washed out black bow tie and a white collared shirt. The background is green and the painting is unsigned. The painting was done from a photograph taken of Lincoln on February 9, 1864, at Brady's Washington gallery.
