Description
This lithograph of Stephen Douglas depicts him from the shoulders up with his head turned towards the viewer's left. His curly hair is parted to the side and stands in a bouffant at the front. Douglas wears a dark jacket with a patterned vest, black bow tie, and white collared shirt. The black and white lithograph is printed on a pale blue background surrounded by oval rings; a nearly illegible artist's signature, H. Whately, is near the bottom right.
