Description
This color print features a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken of him in Washington, D. C., on February 9, 1864. Lincoln's beard and hair are dark brown. He is shown wearing a black frock coat, vest, and bow tie and a white collared shirt. Crosshatching was used to depict different values in the portrait which is displayed in an oval-shaped window mat and wooden frame.
