Description

This broadside authored by Alexander K. McClure presents his idea of President Abraham Lincoln as a master politician. It may have been the precursor to McClure's later publications, "Lincoln as a Politician" and "Lincoln as Commander-in-Chief." To the viewer's right of the text and overlapping the text slightly is the silhouette in orange ink of a possible mourning ribbon with Lincoln's name written beside it. To the viewer's left in the lower corner also in orange ink is an image of Thomas Ball's "Emancipation" statue located in Washington, D. C.
