Description
This steel engraving features a three-quarter length portrait of Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant standing beside a pillar turned slightly toward the viewer's left. He is depicted wearing a double-breasted military uniform with three stars visible at the top of the sleeve indicating his rank. His right hand is tucked inside his jacket while his left hand is positioned behind his back. A facsimile signature is printed in the bottom margin as is the title of the print, "Lieut. Gen.
