Description
This lithograph is plate six in a series of six anti-Lincoln cartoon prints originally done in 1865. This composition depicts Lincoln on the far left, two bearded men--Secretary of War Stanton and Secretary of the Navy Welles--in the center, and a short Secretary of State William Seward on the far right. All but Seward have their mouths open. Text fills the top right reading, "Last Appearance Mch 4, 1865. 'We're a band of brothers. We're a band of brothers. We're a band of brothers and we're all going Home.'" The print is titled along the bottom margin, "Last Appearance Mch. 4, 1865."
