This print is from the May 13, 1865, issue of Harper's Weekly, page 292. The large image with the article depicts Lieutenant Baker, Colonel Baker (seated), and Colonel Conger gathered around a map planning the route to capture John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D. C., on April 14, 1865. The individual pictured above is "Sergeant" Boston Corbett who shot John Wilkes Booth when they had trapped him in Garrett's barn.
