Description
This colored lithograph features a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln depicted turned partially toward the viewer's right. He wears a black coat and vest, along with a white button-down collared shirt and black bow tie. He is positioned in the middle of a black and white wreath which is wrapped with red, white, and blue ribbon. A dove sits in a laurel leaf nest on top of the wreath holding an olive branch in its mouth. A red, white, and blue banner with the words "Justice, Liberty, Equality" in block letters is draped over the wreath below the portrait. A cutout is in the place where the title was originally printed along the bottom edge of the print. See ID number 71.2009.081.1540 to see an unaltered copy of the same print.
