Description

This engraving features a half-length portrait of Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken of him on February 27, 1860, in New York. Beardless, Lincoln posed standing and turned slightly toward the viewer's right and wearing a black coat and vest with a white button-down collared shirt and black bow tie. The cord to his eyeglasses lays diagonally across his chest. "Copyrighted and published 1899 by Dodd, Mead & Co New York." is printed below the image.
