Description
This lithograph features a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham done after a photograph taken of him on February 9, 1864, in Washington, D. C. Facing slightly toward the viewer's left with his head turned slightly toward the viewer's right, Lincoln is wearing a dark jacket and vest, along with a white button-down collared shirt and black bow tie. There is a hint of shadow surrounding Lincoln's shoulders and head. The image is printed on a light tan background with a patriotic eagle at the top, flags draping part way down the sides, and a cornupcopia in each bottom corner. A facsimile of Abraham Lincoln's signature is below the image. The lithographer's name is printed at the bottom of Lincoln's left sleeve.
