Description
This sketch done by E. A. Burbank of a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln was done from a photograph taken of him on November 8, 1863, in Washington, D. C. President Lincoln is shown facing the viewer wearing a black coat and bow tie. A facsimile Lincoln signature is to the viewer's left below the image. The artist's printed signature and 1939 are just below the image to the viewer's right. Below that is the artist's handwritten signature in black ink with the date 1945 below it.
